The Creative Project Manager is a full-time position responsible for implementing and overseeing systems and organizational practices to enhance the potential and execution of the vision, creativity, and production for the Highlands College Creative Team. The Project Manager will work closely with Creative Team members, other departments, and outside agencies/vendors to execute projects to support Highlands College events, conferences, and departmental needs as well as projects for marketing, website, and special events.

Experience, Knowledge, and Ability Required:

  • Ability to manage multiple project timelines and details while successfully keeping team members on schedule and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work as a team player and discuss needs, challenges, and ideas
  • Ability to think ahead, anticipate needs, offer creative solutions, and make things happen
  • Ability to persuade and negotiate with others, including conflict resolution skills
  • Knowledge of industry-specific practices, tools, and language in communication with team members and external contacts
  • Skilled in written and verbal communication, as well as presentation skills
  • Holds high self-motivation with the ability to drive projects to completion

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a variety of projects (including Graphic, Video, and Print) and manage all phases from initiation, planning, and execution
  • Create and maintain systematic and organizational processes for the Creative Team, including but not limited to timelines, goals, revision history, content delivery
  • Ensure that project timelines are met on time or ahead of schedule
  • Develop relationships interdepartmentally, with other departments, vendors, and agencies through collaboration, communication, and focusing on a common goal
  • Make recommendations to management about schedules, prioritization, and resource allocation with input from team members
  • Create and maintain a knowledge base of documentation, detailing the scope, functionality, and history of developed content
  • Research, develop, and implement strategies for healthy and effective team communications and project management
  • Provide excellent “customer service” to everyone we work with, especially by communicating with other Highlands College departments, staff members, vendors, and agencies about project questions, timelines, expectations, vision, goals, and content delivery

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects, organize tasks, and create reports based on time allocation
  • Communicate project progress with departments
  • Work with vendors on various print projects (merch, environmental signage, etc…)
  • On occasion assist in scheduling video shoots (reserving rooms, reaching out to talent, purchasing props, etc..)
  • Tracking Creative Team budget, submitting receipts, etc…
  • Ability to be available for rare emergency work in non-business hours
  • Adapt to other duties as assigned
