Highlands College is currently seeking qualified candidates to teach Church History. The position is open to candidates of all ranks and will begin as early as June 2023.
Highlands College offers rank advancement but not tenure. Faculty rank is determined when hired based on credentials and teaching experience. All full-time faculty are employees (non-contract) with a normal teaching load of 24 to 30 credit hours per academic year or as needed to meet program needs. There is no research requirement.

- Master’s degree in History from an accredited institution (Alternatively, a completed master’s degree not in the field plus 18 graduate hours in the course content area would be considered.)
- Passion for biblical higher education

- Ability to work well with faculty, staff, and students with diverse perspectives
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills

- Affirmation of the College Statement of Faith
- Willingness to engage in the mission and ministry of Church of the Highlands
- Doctorate in History or related field
- Experience teaching at the collegiate level
- A demonstrated history of pedagogical excellence
- Familiarity with Blackboard Learn Ultra
*Preference will be given to candidates with a doctorate, candidates who have experience teaching Communication at the collegiate level, and candidates with evidence of continued professional development.
