Summary of Responsibilities
This role will direct all production aspects of Highlands College chapels and special events, and manage all related technical details, including equipment/infrastructure.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary Technical Producer for chapel services, including attending and annotating rehearsals, instructing camera operators, and attending pre-service meetings.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with Central Broadcast Team regarding installation and upkeep of camera systems.
- Oversee the development and implementation of training benchmarks and protocols for camera operators and shaders.
- Troubleshooting and maintaining equipment in coordination with Central Broadcast and Campus Production team.
- Coordinating software, hardware, and firmware update needs with Central Broadcast team.
- Oversee broadcast and camera equipment training for Highlands College Technical Arts practicum students, including developing teaching materials, leading training sessions, and developing student evaluations.
- Assist in post-production editing and archiving of recorded services and events.
- Manage all Highlands College Production operations required to support and facilitate chapels and events.
- Provide daily direction and pastoring to the Production team.
- Uphold department policies regarding systems, training methods, workflow, etc.
- Ensure proper equipment maintenance and management in coordination with Central teams.
- Coordinate interdepartmental projects.
- Engage in long-term department planning.
- Nurture and maintain relationships with equipment vendors while actively pursuing relationships with potential new vendors.
- Actively research new products, equipment, and solutions through active usage of blogs, web forums, equipment manuals, publications, etc.
- Help manage and run production equipment during special events, retreats, and conferences.
- Assist in post-production editing and archiving of recorded services and events.

Experience
- Two years experience in video production or broadcast environment.
- Basic understanding of audio, video, and lighting systems, equipment, and concepts.
- Intermediate Mac and PC proficiency.
- Familiarity with ProPresenter, Ross Dashboard, BlackMagic Video Hub, and various projector control interfaces required.
- Familiarity with software and hardware media servers required.
