We’re looking for a multi-talented creative to join the Marketing team at Highland College. This person loves to create from beginning to end, try new things, and has a high standard of excellence. This person will need to be an avid learner, team player, and ideator. We are looking for a passionate storyteller and experienced creator that understands what it takes to produce powerful advertising that converts. This team member must be deeply motivated by the mission and vision of Highlands College.

Summary of Responsibilities
The Marketing Content Creator is responsible for producing creative assets for organic social media and paid media advertising content end-to-end. This person will need to be capable of leading and inspiring a student team or interns, giving direction, and receiving direction to ensure we execute all deliverables with excellence.

Accountability
The Marketing Content Creator will report directly to the Highlands College Executive Director of Marketing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Concept and create compelling imagery to communicate ideas that inform, inspire, and captivate consumers
  • Responsible for overall layout and production design for marketing assets, which include organic and paid social media across all HC channels, digital and email marketing assets, advertisements, and web components
  • Support creative needs for all organic and paid social media platforms
  • Partner and collaborate with other members of marketing team and HC Creative team to gather information and inspiration to produce dynamic marketing creative
  • Lead and partner with HC student volunteers through casting vision and art direction to obtain dynamic creative assets for marketing campaign deliverables

  • Motion graphic skills are a plus

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree or Certifications in related field of study
  • A minimum of 1 to 3 years of applicable marketing operations experience, with demonstrated expertise in graphic design, writing, videography, photography, and editing
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, with a high-level of experience and skill in Premiere Pro and illustrator. After Effects experience is desired. Well-versed in various other social media creator tools
  • Experience in a marketing or communications agency, in-house marketing department, or similar environment, preferably administering content and digital marketing
  • Strong communications skills
  • Excellent organizational skills; experience in managing and leading projects autonomously
  • Detail-oriented and committed to producing high-quality work and maximizing resources
  • 1 to 3 years of hands-on digital marketing experience in paid media
  • Highly organized and must be able to multi-task, handling several tasks/projects simultaneously while consistently meeting deadlines
  • A personality that fits with our team; we are interested in someone who is intelligent, works hard, values teammates, and makes our team better

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Google Docs, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proven video marketing campaign portfolio
