Summary of responsibilities:
The Recreation Center Associate is responsible for operating and maintaining the HC Recreation & Fitness facility.
Reporting To:
Fitness Director
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage class attendance and the check-in process
Assist with planning and execution of fitness classes and workouts
Organize and maintain the cleanliness of the gym, fitness spaces, and studios
Maintain high visibility and availability for fitness classes
Other Duties:
Affirm and uphold the Statement of Faith and the Core Values and DNA of the College, exemplifying all by word and lifestyle
Create a high-touch environment (love, encourage, and welcome people)
Other duties as directed and required

Provide leadership within HC Fitness and functions as direct report to the Fitness Director
Oversee students, staff and interns in daily workouts

Education & Experience:
Education:
High School / GED
Alumni or Current Highlands College student
Experience:
Background in customer service
Experience leading students
Extent of Public Contact:
High Physical Demands
High exposure to physical risk
Great physical condition is required
Ability to lift heavy weights without assistance
Ability to stand for long periods of time
