Summary of Responsibilities
This role is responsible for creating, concepting, filming, and producing videos and more to communicate the vision of HC through the visual arts.

Creative Director
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
● Create video content for Highlands College’s internal and external audience (Chapel Services, Expedition, Half Marathon, In-Residence Day, Impact Conference, Paid Media, and more).
● Be a part of on and off-location video shoots.
● Plan videos shoots and direct shoots as needed.
● Conceptualize and create video content from start to finish for Highlands College.
● Receive footage and be able to create a video outline with it.
● Digitally cutting the files to put together the sequence deciding what is usable.
● Overseeing the quality of the audio in the video.
● Consulting with the director, producer and/or other Highlands College Department throughout the post-production process.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
● Manage projects, organize tasks, and prioritize workload.
● Communicate with Creative manager and other team members.
● During non-business hours, he or she should be available for rare emergency work.
● Participate in Highlands College Events.
● Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
● Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud or Final Cut Pro (Premiere CC, After Effects CC).
● Experience with shooting and editing video on a deadline basis is preferred.
● Experience and knowledge with audio quality and sound.
● Experience and knowledge of color grading video footage.
● Wide knowledge and understanding of video, camera, and video shoot gear.
● Ability to set up video shoots including camera, audio, lighting and more.
● Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
● Ability to work as a team player and discuss needs, challenges, and ideas.
● Ability to think ahead, anticipate needs and offer creative solutions.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Ability to extract compelling elements from raw video footage.
● Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
● Minimum 2 years as a creative professional with a portfolio of work, preferably in a creative team, freelance, or agency environment
● Affirm the Statement of Faith and uphold the Core Values of the College, exemplifying them by word and lifestyle
● Lead a Highlands College or church of the Highlands small group Preferred Qualifications
● Bachelor’s Degree in related field
