Purpose of the Job

  • Primary point of communication between Executive Director of Ministry Training and Practicum Leadership Teams
  • Direct hands-on ministry training for Highlands College
  • Gives direction to Practicum Leadership teams
  • Gives direction to Campus Leadership teams
  • Implement and document the process used to train students to be prepared to be placed
  • Oversee student’s engagement with the Dream Team on Sundays

Experience and Knowledge Required:

  • Experience in managing and developing complex systems and structures
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
  • Advanced communication skills both publicly and interpersonally.
  • A base knowledge of every department of Church of the Highlands and the person or persons who oversee it.

Experience and Knowledge Preferred:

  • Master’s degree (completed or in progress) in related field and minimum 3 years of closely related experience.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and direct the Ministry Training Support Team
  • Supervise the Practicum Coordinators for each practicum
  • Maintain relationships with staff involved with Practicums
  • Communicates and directs Practicum Leadership teams directly including regular communication of students’ grades in other courses
  • Oversee the creation of course syllabi for each practicum
  • Advise students as it relates to their Practicum
  • Maintain a healthy practicum experience for both staff and student
  • Responsible for the planning, scheduling, and execution all Practicum courses
  • Ensure the finalization of grades for students within Practicum courses
  • Manage the creation, communication, development, and grading of Practicum assignments
  • Ensure compliances with proper accreditation standards within Practicums

Sunday Experience (Traditional)

  • Supervise student involvement on the Dream Team Sundays at all campuses
  • Supervise the Sunday Experience Campus Leadership teams for Traditional students
  • Supervise attendance tracking
  • Supervise evaluation of student’s experience serving on the Dream Team
  • Direct students engaging on the Dream Team on Sundays


  • Recruit and direct Ministry Training Interns
  • Responsible for the development of Ministry Training Interns
  • Track weekly hours and Ministry Training responsibilities

Work Week:

  • Because of responsibilities on Sunday’s, this role operates on a Sunday through Thursday work week
