Academics
The goal of Academic Instruction is to develop intellect and increase the knowledge of God. We aim to strengthen students’ understanding of their Christ-centered calling and Biblical interpretation. Students become lifelong learners through academic instruction across a variety of subjects, focusing on foundational, biblical, and theological studies and learning to view and interact with the world through the lens of God’s word.
Ministry Training
For the next generation of ministry leaders to be effective, we believe classroom instructions is best paired with practical application and real-world experience while in Highlands College. Our ministry degree program consists of leadership classes focused on ministry, extensive hands-on ministry training in one of eight specific practicums, and over 400 hours of hands-on training preparing them to make an immediate impact after they graduate.
Character Formation
Intelligence and skill are meaningless without character to lead. At Highlands College, we guide our students as they develop the discipline to make tough decisions, the tenacity to overcome adversity, and the humility to build and maintain meaningful relationships.
Spiritual Development
The impact and longevity of a ministry leader is fueled by the leader’s personal, intimate relationship with God. Highlands College students strengthen their devotion to God and learn to support each other through weekly chapel services, small groups, an annual fasting retreat, and personal time in prayer and reading the Bible.

SEU Relationship Statement
Highlands College partners with SEU to offer traditional students the ability to earn an associate’s degree in Christian Ministry or pursue a Bachelor of Science Degree in Christian Ministry.
